Wise: Young Explorer
This project is in response to a D&AD brief set by Wise to design a campaign for their new Young Explorer programme, aiming to position Wise as the 'essential travel companion' for young people looking for adventure abroad. The challenge we faced was that Wise cannot market their services directly to children, so instead, we needed to convince the parents of these children that Wise is the right choice for their kids. To this end, we decided that the best way to position Wise as the 'essential travel companion' was to make it exactly that. Enter the piggy bank, an iconic and widely recognised symbol of safekeeping and saving money. The piggy bank is the perfect mascot for the Young Explorer programme, as it represents everything Wise can be for parents and their kids – security, diligent savings, and a charming character that accompanies young explorers across the world. It brings that sense of trust and reliability that parents need to feel at ease whilst their children are thousands of miles away, and tells them that their kids and their money are in safe hands. This is a project completed with a fellow designer, the work displayed on this page is a combination of both our efforts.
